5 oceans in the world are the Atlantic Ocean, Pacific Ocean, Indian Ocean, Arctic
Ocean and Antarctic oceans.
What are the major “seas”? What makes them different from oceans? The major seas are the Red sea, Sea of Japan, Arabian Sea, North Sea, Russian Sea, Mediterranean Sea and the Caribbean Seas. The seas are chunks of the ocean that are isolated or surrounded by land that means they have their own currency and animal life.

2. What are bays? Explain. Show some map pictures. The bays are not quite seas but seas can form within bays and bays can either small or larger incursions of ocean into the land. If they get large enough they will form a separate sea. If the bay are really large they called that a gulf.

is a gulf? Explain. What is a good example? Give a picture/map.
A gulf forms a extremely large bay, almost to a point where you may call it a sea. A good example of a gulf is the Gulf of California and the Gulf of Mexico which has small bay sound the gulf and in the Gulf of California you can have small sub bay.

What is a peninsula (Cape)?
Show an example with the definition. Explain an Isthmus.
A peninsula is a piece of land almost surrounded by water or projecting out into a body of water. For example, Korea has a peninsula in the North and South Korea part. Isthmus is a narrow strip of land with sea on either side, forming a link between tow larger areas of land.
5. Who were the 1st people to go to sea? Give a little history of theses 1st seafarers. Show some pictures. The 1st people were polynesian ( Native Indians) and they stretched from the Americas into Asia into the Islands of the Pacific and they were the 1st large seafarers.

6. Who were the Vikings? Explain how they explored the ocean. Show some pictures/maps. The Vikings were venturesome seafarers and they explored the ocean by spreading from Europe to Greenland and then to the Americas.
